House Digital Assets Subcommittee Schedules Field Hearing on CLARITY Act


Digital Assets, Financial Technology and Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee, part of House Financial Services Committee“How the Law of Openness Unlocks Innovation.” He planned a “field hearing” on the issue.

The CLARITY Act, or crypto market infrastructure legislation, has been approved in the House of Representatives, but a floor vote is awaited before it can be signed into law and forwarded to the White House.

The legislation was approved in the Senate Banking Committee, but negotiations continue over aspects the banking community dislikes because it would create more competition for customers.

The legislation is widely thought to need to be approved before it can be approved. Congress summer break in August.

Latest reports indicate that the updated legislation will be announced along with any changes during the July 4th holiday weekend.
