Ground floorThe private securities investment platform, which started by focusing on real estate offerings, has also added private lending as an option for investors.
According to the statement, Groundfloor lists a consumer loan option that offers a 10% annual return with quarterly distributions for 45 months. The offering is designed to provide consistent income and risk management by reducing exposure to a single borrower.
Brian Dally, The CEO and co-founder of Groundfloor says investors are looking beyond stocks and bonds, while some are interested in income-producing assets. The consumer loan portfolio is an effort to provide access to institutional-level investors for individual investors.
Groundfloor states that the initial private loan offering reached capacity in just 2 weeks.
Groundfloor said the private credit offering is part of a broader strategy to expand access to private markets investments, including real estate-backed loans, fixed-income alternatives and private credit strategies.
Groundfloor has reported over $2.2 billion in investments since its launch.
