GoTyme Bank Reports Over 12 Million Customers in South Africa


GoTyme Bank (formerly TymeBank) says it has reached 12 million customers since its launch in 2019. GoTyme is a “phygital,” challenger bank operating in multiple markets (Philippines, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Singapore). GoTyme benefits BPCs Services to provide banking and other Fintech services.

Customers can access services through a variety of options, including the GoTyme Bank app, service kiosks, and a network of retail partners that support cash in and out transactions.

GoTyme Bank states that it reached 50,000 customers within two months of launch, exceeding 1 million in the first year, 3.5 million in the second year, and 6 million in the third year. The company bills itself as Africa’s first profitable digital bank in less than five years.
