Dubai Gets Its First Artificial Intelligence Native Asset Manager with the Launch of Deep Finance Capital

Deep Finance Capital It is positioning itself as the Emirate’s first AI indigenous asset manager by launching operations at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC).

The DFSA-regulated firm will serve institutional and professional investors in real estate, private equity, commodities and special situations.

Deep Finance Capital was born from Rasameel Investment House Ltd. and is based at Emirates Financial Towers in DIFC.

At the heart of the business is NEXT, an artificial intelligence platform developed by its wholly owned technology subsidiary Deep Finance Analytics. The system is used throughout the investment process, from sourcing and due diligence to assessing risk and monitoring portfolios, the company said.

This means that AI is not just being used as an additional research tool. Deep Finance Capital says this is built into the way the firm evaluates opportunities and manages investments.

The company describes itself as the first AI domestic asset manager in the DIFC, but this claim could not be independently verified.

Chief Executive Axel Walek said the firm chose Dubai as its headquarters while leveraging its European network for institutional capital, deal flow and regulatory expertise.

Christian Kutscher, board member and head of private equity, will oversee the firm’s private markets activities.

The launch comes as Dubai continues to attract asset managers, fintech companies and digital asset firms seeking a base in the Middle East.

Previous CrowdfundInsider reports have highlighted similar moves. Ripple has received a DFSA license from Dubai to provide regulated crypto payment services, while institutional fund platform Gordian Capital has expanded into the DIFC to serve alternative asset managers in the region.

DFSA is also working to strengthen the Emirate’s investment management sector. Earlier this month the regulator proposed the biggest overhaul of the DIFC’s collective investment fund framework since 2010, with changes aimed at bringing the rules closer to international standards and supporting further growth in the funds industry.

Deep Finance Capital did not disclose its assets under management, fundraising plans, initial client mandates or the size of its investment team.
