The global payments and finance platform raised $320 million in a Series H financing round led by existing investor Addition, increasing its valuation from $8 billion in December 2025.
“The valuation reflects both,” Chan said. “Primarily, it is supported by the strength of our core business.”
Airwallex’s annual revenue reached $1.3 billion in March 2026, up 74% year-on-year, while transaction volume increased by more than 120%. The company currently serves more than 676,000 businesses worldwide.
Chan said the new financing also reflects investors’ confidence in Airwallex’s ability to combine regulated financial infrastructure with AI-based software.
“AI is lowering the barriers to building global businesses, but these businesses still need reliable financial infrastructure underneath them,” he said.

Chan said that Asia-Pacific remains one of Airwallex’s top priorities, and that investments are planned to continue in markets such as Japan and South Korea, as well as in fast-growing markets in Southeast Asia.
“Our focus is not only to enter more countries, but also to become the financial platform that businesses rely on as they grow internationally,” he said.
